How to become a member of ERA?
The normal procedure is that an organisation sends a letter to the ERA Office asking to become a new member. The organisation also sends a short description of the organisation, their constitution and contact information.
The Presidium will then look at the application and also contact other member organisations in the country - if it is considered an “appropiate” organisation the application will be recommended for approval. Other organisations can not veto a new member organisation from joining.
The presidium then proposes to the next General Meeting that the organisation should become a new member of ERA. It is only the General Meeting that can approve / exclude members.
The deadline for such a letter is 6 weeks before the General Meeting but it is appreciated if it comes much earlier.
The member’s fee is 500€ per year and invoices are sent out in February.
