There are a number of voluntary organisations set up to help prospective pilgrims on the Camino. For English speakers: in Britain, the
Confraternity of St James and, in USA, the Friends of the Road to Santiago. The former publish a yearly-updated information booklet, The Pilgrim's Guide to Spain, and also sell guidebooks.
There are an enormous number of books on Camino. Practical guidebooks in English include The Way of St James by Alison Raju published by Cicerone.
